LA BREICHE was created in 2015 by Yan AREXIS & Patrick LAFFORGUE founding members of well know act STILLE VOLK (founded in 1994 who run 6 albums on Holy Records). This third album of LA BREICHE is a pure act of archaïsm, profound lore. The two of STILLE VOLK after a first concept record on Cold Spring Records and a second album with post-rock tones, comeback with the first recordings of the duet dealing with tribal, ancient, instinctive music

LA BREICHE est un projet ancien qui remonte au milieu des années 90. En presque 20 ans Yan Arexis et Patrick Lafforgue ont suivi des voies les menant sur les plus grands rendez-vous folk, rock en Europe et en France. Mais l'envie d'explorer la richesse des archaïsmes, de repousser un peu plus encore les frontières entre musique médiévale et musiques actuelles a pu prendre corps en 2015 à travers ce projet acoustique et électro acoustique.

Durant deux décennies ils ont poursuivi leur chemin musical à travers diverses formations. La plus connu du grand public étant STILLE VOLK. Avec une dizaine d'albums réalisés depuis les années 90 et près de 15000 exemplaires vendus , le duo s'appuie sur une solide expérience de scène et de studio.

En 2016, LA BREICHE éditera un premier disque sur le très recommandable label indépendant anglais COLD SPRING RECORDS ; reconnu notamment pour avoir publié des innovateurs de renom comme GENESIS P-ORRIDGE (à l'origine de la Musique industrielle avec Throbbing Gristle), les très provocateurs... more

Yan Arexis : Percussions (swedish frame drum, bass drum, Trong ban, doundoun, gongs, cymbals, medieval drum, shimes), lithophone, overtone flute, handmade instruments, voices, various horns, woods, ocarina.
Patrick Lafforgue : Hurdy gurdy, flutes, lead voice, guiterne (medieval oud created by Lafforgue).
